Student Section

Talented actors and actresses wanted to perform in the Spring Musical which will be a revue of excerpts from many shows like Legally Blonde, Rent, Westside Story, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof and many more.  Come to room 2 behind the auditorium if you like to sing, dance and act.  Auditions will be held February 13, 15, 16 and 17 after school in room 2.  For more information see Ms. Thrasher in room 2 or 14.  Community service hours given for rehearsal time.

Saturday school:  Take care of multiple detentions during Saturday school February 4^th, from 8:00 to 10:00 am.  Saturday school is mandatory if you have more than five tardies.  Parents will be notified by mail. (Campbell).

Work experience:  Any student interested in being part of work experience in the spring semester, please attend our meeting on Wednesday, 1/25/12 at 7:00 a.m. in room 132 with Mr. Silberman.

Congratulations to recent graduate Cristina Garcia, for winning 2^nd place with her one-color screen print and the after school Graphic Communications Club for winning 3^rd place for their multi-color screen print at the 2012 Student Impressions Awards.  Besides winning their award certificates and ribbons, Super Shop 9 received 288 t-shirts and 6 quarts of screen printing chemistry for the after school program. Congratulations to our robotics club who brought home a medal from the finals of their division in San Diego last weekend.  Now they are moving on to work on a marine project with the Office of Naval Research.  Come join us on Thursday in Shop 5.  Freshman, sophomores, and girls are especially welcome.  No experience necessary. come out until June, you can pay for your yearbook now and save money.  When the Yearbook comes out in June, it will

Congrats!  To the girls golf team for placing 4^th at City Championships.  Also three girls qualified for state   regionals. Good luck to Jennifer Aceret, Christina Gan and Katelyn Obana.

Congratulations to last year’s Super Shop 9 students who won Honorable Mention Awards at the 2011 SGIA Show in New Orleans.  The students were :  Cristina Garcia, Jonathan Rojas, Francisco Espinoza, Joshua Charles, and Marvin Gregorio. (Lindauer)

Teen Court is back on November 9^th at 3:15 in the Student Cafeteria.  Real cases, real jury, real judge.  Community service  will be given. (Cooper).
